Why is spiritual truth so elusive? Why is it that matters of spiritual significance are so hard to verify and validate?

I have been pondering hard on this subject for quite sometime. And these are my conclusions.

Spiritual truth is so elusive possibly because of several factors. They are as listed below:

1. Many seekers are using the wrong modes of seeking. What do I mean by this? Firstly we try to relate and uncover spiritual truth and reality with our own thinking faculty. This will lead us to nowhere because spiritual reality is what is encapsulating our limited thinking faculty. Spiritual reality is in a way 'beyond' the normal thinking mode assigned by a personality/self. No offence, but most people are doing this precisely. As such believers can ONLY believe and NOT experience divine spiritual reality.

My first experiences of Divine Consciousness were during meditation sessions. Very significantly, during these meditations, thoughts and thinking were much reduced. In a state of no thought (Yes and I mean not a single thought!), we will experience ourselves clearly as an all-pervading Presence. It is during these moments that one discover that the world and ourselves is not what it appears to be. And we suddenly understand what the ancients Sages from various traditions were talking about.

2. Being conditioned by societies' beliefs. Our upbringing very much demarcated what should be real and what's not. And this is supported by a very convincing structure based on scientific proving and visual/experiential validation.

Let me illustrate this point further... Since childhood, education and adults have been telling us what is correct and what is not. We all have been brainwashed to think like one another. As such our sense of identity has been influenced by our fed information and beliefs. Do you know that prior to any acquired learning, a child relates to the world very differently? Much of how we perceive the world is learn t... and is fundamentally different from our natural way of referencing. However, learn t ways are certainly not negative; it is just that modern societal influences tend to suppress and discourage certain in-born cognitive abilities such as intuitive clairvoyance. And intuitiveness is a necessary ingredient for efficient spiritual navigation.

3. We think we know it all. When we think we know it all. The thought of 'I know it all' will block us from knowing anything deeply. Why this that so? Because a 'know-it-all' will not seek to know deeply and therefore will not go deep enough...

Now I've been told that the Purpose of life is to give glory to God through enjoying him. My first thought was - That's a great thought. But what about if your not a Christian? After alot of thought I realized that whether your a Christian or not your purpose doesn't change. We don't decide our purpose. Our creator does.

Think to a time in your life where you've designed something; anything. You designed it to accomplish something to have a set purpose. If you are a toy car, you can't not like the way that you drove one day and decide to become a toy robot. Just like if you design a car: you designed it to be a car, and that's what it's purpose is. The car can't just all of a sudden pull out of the garage one day and decide to be an airplane.

For me to say, whether you are Christian or not the purpose of your life is to Give Glory to God, is extremely single minded. To argue with me though, what are the alternatives? Even look at the issue on a lower level: what are the alternatives to Christianity - Evolution - That man came from Monkeys?

Everyone knows of course that you can argue it both way. Will science every be able to prove the big bang? Evolution? The Bible? Is there already proof and are we just to blind to see it? Science is continually discovering things. Things like the dead sea scrolls, things like fossils and bones. Back and forth, and back and forth I'm sure that it will go our through out our entire lives.

I've heard both arguements, several times, as I'm sure all have.This isn't about my opinion but rather: Either source that you choose to believe in is a risk. What you have to decide for yourself is what risk is more valuable to take.

How did humans and everything else come into existence? This question has been asked over the years. With theory through science, some of the question is answered but remains a mystery. My thoughts bring a smile to my face for I believe we know not what we assume to know. A rather bold statement I admit and truly, this is an assumption on my part. I look at the debate between Creation and the theory of Evolution a good example of knowledge, which is questionable.
When we began this study of life, we saw a video on Creation vs. the Theory of Evolution. The theory is taught in schools and in colleges and even promoted in the media.  The Creation account of existence of life is not “politically acceptable”. Therefore, it is not found in the public education arena. As humans, we seek knowledge to make us more productive and value originated. However, the knowledge I feel that is needed is not given creating a disastrous result. I think of the theory of evolution which was introduced by Charles Darwin in 1859 no provable evidence supports his theory.
The two step process of our existence; in the beginning, about four billion years ago, the air is unfit to breathe. The young earth is without life. The sun beats down; storms lash the coasts; volcanoes pour hissing lava into the ocean’s waters. These natural jolts fuse simple molecules into more complex ones. Amino acids are formed, and then interact with each other, and primitive protein is fashioned, perhaps as a worm-like molecule. Somehow, the right molecules get together and the first living cell appears. This first living cell is the great ancestor of all plants and animals on earth, including man. From this first cell, all other forms of life evolved. This tiny first living cell is the father of us all!

        As time went on, this first cell developed into amoeba-like organisms and other primitive creatures that could survive in the ocean. After millions of years, these creatures evolved into fish. Some of these fish developed lungs so that they could survive outside of the water. Gradually they began to make their way onto land as the first amphibians. These amphibians then evolved into reptiles and the earth soon became populated with great dinosaurs. Some of these reptiles started to develop legs that could move around better, and these creatures became what we today would call mammals. Other reptiles developed wings.
      One of these early mammals was known as a tree shrew. He was not much larger than a squirrel and in many ways looked like a squirrel. This creature lived in trees and gradually evolved into primitive monkeys and other apelike creatures. From these apelike creatures there evolved two major groups; One the great apes that we can see in zoos today, such as the gorilla, orangutan, gibbon and chimpanzee. Two a creature who came down from the trees and who started walking upright, all monkeys and apes walk on all fours.  He is now known as Man!   
      There are many problems with the theory of evolution, it is impossible for life to come from non-life.  Evolutionists teach that the first living cell evolved from non-life. There is no evidence that this ever happened. Life does not just happen by chance. There is no evidence that amphibians evolved into reptiles.  There is no evidence that reptiles evolved into mammals.  There is no evidence that reptiles evolved into birds.  Yet this is widely accepted, this knowledge of how we came into existence.
       
      Creation is the reason we have life on this planet animal life, plant life, human life is because the Creator made it so. God created all plants and all living creatures.  
      There are variations found in the various "kinds" of animals, which God created.  For example, think of all the varieties of dogs.  Think of all the varieties of cats.  Think of all the varieties of humans.  All humans came from the same parents Adam and Eve and yet we do not all look alike different colored skin, different eyes.  
       God has made the various kinds of animals with great genetic potential for variation.  He did this for humans as well.  However, one kind of animal does not change into another kind.  Animals always reproduce "after their kind" (Genesis 1:11, 21, 25).  Lizards do not change into birds. Reptiles do not evolve into lions.  Dogs do not evolve into cats.  Land mammals do not change into whales.  Eels do not evolve into snakes.  Apes do not evolve into humans.
      Every creature on earth shows evidence of amazing design.  Think of the web-making capability of the spider, the defensive mechanism of the skunk, the amazing design found in every animal that is able to fly.  If there is Design, then should not there be a Designer?   Suppose you came across a beautiful work of art.  You ask the owner of its origin, "Who created this beautiful work of art?"  The owner says, "No one it just happened by chance.  One day I dropped some tools accidental resulted in this."  Would you believe it?
    Knowledge is taught to our future generations, which are unreal as the story above. The truth of how and who we really are is a mystery but having faith leads me to believe in Creation which ispolitically unacceptable. The scientific fields of study have fed the evolutionary fires of knowledge, which they know not what they know.

There's a song which has dominated my attention for the past couple of weeks. From the first time I heard it, I began to play it so many times I've lost count. I think it's a beautiful song, of course, but there's so much more to it than that.

The song is titled "Captivate Us." It's on a CD by the group Watermark. It's a simple, quiet song with two voices and an acoustic guitar. I'm sharing the music with you here but I really want to suggest it not as a song, but as a prayer--a prayerful preparation for a conversation with our Heavenly Father. Not only have I listened to the song many times on the way to and from work but I've also used it to prepare my heart to commune with the Lord and to practice His presence as I begin to have conversation with Him.

For the purpose of prayer, you can change all of the us pronouns to me. As you become familiar with the words and are able to close your eyes as you speak them--out loud, preferably, I pray that He will, as the words say, draw you closer to Him.

I am a lover of words--their meanings, colorations and shades. This song sent me to various dictionaries, as well as the Bible, to see all the meanings of some of the words and phrases used in this song. I wanted to see what God intended to say, what He wanted us to ask for, when He inspired the writers, Christy and Nathan Nockels.

First, look at the word captivate. It can mean: attract; fascinate; charm; enchant; cause to be enamored; beguile; entrance; hold the attention of someone by being extremely interesting, exciting, charming or attractive; subdue; overpower; capture; or enslave.

In praying "Captivate me, Lord", I'm see myself asking Him to do everything from attract me to enslave me.

What's that? I want Him to enslave me? But He told us through Paul:

"For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - because anyone who has died has been freed from sin." (Romans 6:6-7)

Yes, freed from slavery to sin, but then divinely enslaved to Him:

“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:22-23)

The lyrics make reference to Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light."

For generating word-pictures in my mind, I love the references to the Lord as a Rushing River and Holy Fountain.

And we can read in Psalms:

"How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give the drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light." (Psalm 36:7-9)

...And in Revelation:

"To all who are thirsty I will give the springs of the water of life without charge!" (Rev. 21:6b)

And directly from the mouth of Jesus:

"'If you are thirsty, come to me! If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow from within.'" (John 7:37b-38)

Another word which had an impact on me, but which surprised me, was devastate. I knew of its usage only in terms of laying waste to, or to ravage. But what a great word and a great request for me to make of God! It also means: arouse; elicit; kindle; evoke; fire; raise; provoke; overwhelm; overpower; sweep over; overcome; overtake; confound; stun.

I say "Lord, arouse me to You, and then proceed to overwhelm, sweep over, and all the rest. Just do it, Lord! And, Lord, while You're at it, go ahead and lay waste to and ravage everything You see in me that is not of You."

If you take the words as your own and pray them as you commune with our Heavenly Father, I'm sure He will lead you to other words which have the most meaning for you; which draw the clearest picture; which bring you into His presence the closest and prepare you for conversation with Him.

The sweetest times of concentrating on being in the Lord's presence are those when we come not to ask for anything--no matter how important and precious those requests are to Him--but those times when we say,

"Father, I don't come to You now to get anything. I've prayed about my needs and desires already and Your Word says they're met according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now, I just come to be with You. If you have anything You'd like to tell me, I'm ready to listen. I want You to know that whatever I see in Your Word or hear from You, I'll do."

Then sit or kneel in His presence and enjoy His company.

I pray the words of this song will be useful to you in your prayer time and that your time with Him will be more precious because of it.

I ran across this quote and have often thought it true ~ not only with authors, but with graphic and stationery designers, etc.: often, people pleasers; sweet, generous, and precious ~ but missing the best.

God dwells in our heart. Thus, our calling involves following the passions God has placed there; not making everyone else happy, not meeting others demands, not fulfilling every request in the universe.

If you are tired, in service, you are carrying a weight God did not place there. Leave whatever else for the next person, as they are called. Remember, we, also, are called to trust God to do the rest.

Recently, I found a really neat site that was, almost joyously, shouting the need to hurry up and write whatever God has given you to share. Though, it brought me to question if you even realize, to what extent, God has given you the power to make a difference.

Even so, many have been in your own personal, and sometimes horrendous, tribulation for quite some time. Though, I wonder how much you realize these hard times happen to you (as they are happening to many others) so you will know where others are, what the need is, and what words need be shared.

God gave writers. That means, if you are a writer, you are a gift and it was God that decided such. It had nothing to do with your writing skills, but the desires of your heart.

There is a hurting world, out there, even more desperate than our situation may feel. And during times you have no new words to share, your 'already written seed' is still available to help others that have not yet caught up to where you are spiritually.

Do you realize, when words come to you faster than you can write them down, that those are as much God's words as the Bible? I pray that you do. I pray that you will, finally, truly believe that it is impossible for you to write something inferior ~ when the Spirit is moving. God does not do anything inferior.

God has given you words, to share, that meet people where they are. You have a type of 'gift of healing' amidst a terribly wounded and cruel world. I pray you get a glimpse of how important you, your ministry, and your seed is ~ then stand up to Satan and not let him stop you from the passions of your heart any longer.

Words, inspired by God, do not belong to you ~ but Him. Share them, wherever there is a door of opportunity, as if your message, alone, can change the entire world ~ because it can.

Via the Internet, your writings will be multiplied so many times that only God can count the number of lives that have been touched ... and how many lives they touch ... and how many lives they touch. In that ripple effect, you have been given a great opportunity to lead. And know this; it is impossible to out give God. What a gift!

Are there times when you feel uncomfortable in crowded places? Are there moments when you feel as if your space is being invaded? Some people can only come so close to you. This is a reaction triggered by your aura.

It’s possible that someone else’s aura is intruding upon yours.

At times, you feel uneasy in the presence of a certain person. You enter a room, you have this sense that something is wrong. The human aura is a strong electro- magnetic field. We give off electrical energy and absorb magnetic one.

You can feel this energy force in a room full of people, where varying energies, positive and negative are being inter-charged.

The aura is an extension of our energies, be it strong or weak, fair or otherwise, light and bright or dull and dense.

It is a band of energy that surrounds us, a life energy that can be sensed around every living thing, plants, trees, animals, birds and people.

There are seven layers of aura, but the most accessible to the human perception are the first three layers surrounding the human body.

Auras can be seen with the eyes wide open. It can also be seen psychically with the eyes closed. Auras can be best seen under a soft light. You can check your own aura by looking at a mirror against a light color background with dim lighting.

Look beyond the object and do not focus on it.Auras are observed more prominently around the hands, between the shoulders, neck and head area.

Those who can see aura mostly observe the mental and etheric layers or planes. These are the colorful layers of aura.

Physical Aura

Closest to the body is the physical aura. It represents the body’s physical growth, strengths and weaknesses, physical sensations, pleasant and unpleasant. This band is very strong in athletes and people who are in touch with themselves- enjoy life’s pleasures like food, comfort , sex, etc.

Mental and Emotional Aura

Moving away from the body is the second layer. This reflects the person’s emotional moods and mental feelings, about how one feels about oneself.Any block in this area slows down the flow of energy. This part of the aura is changeable and fluctuates through the day, depending on the mental and emotional stimulations one feels.


Spiritual Aura

This part of the aura reflects the energy of the spirit and its development. The color on this level is most distant. Mental sluggishness shows in this area.

Negative thoughts accumulated over time shows in this area. It is believed that yellow is predominant in at this level.


Reading the Aura

These levels can be read separately or in conjunction with each other.The colors are not physically separated by a line or space between them. They seem to fuse or change into one another. One color may be more dominant than others. As one develops the ability to read auras, viable information can be derived from the different levels.

There is no hierarchy of judgement involving the colors and their placement in the aura. The colors are only indicators of the person’s current state, can be read to strengthen the positive and / or help alleviate problems .

Remember, as living things change, so do the energy fields. As we develop, as we solve our problems, as we work through inhibiting blocks, we continue to balance our energies.

Exercise:
When reading an aura, do no stop yourself after sensing the colors. Recognizing the colors is the beginning of the aura reading. Verbalize what you see, this not only defines what you see, it enhances the flow of your intuition and helps with an insightful reading.

You could see one color, or a combination thereof. The colors may grow stronger or brighter as the reading progresses. Rely on your ability to interpret responsibly with a clear mind what you see or sense.

When people are comfortable with one another,their aura tend to compliment each other in an attractive manner.

Learning about aura helps you to raise your intuitive faculties.

We are living at an incredible time and anyone that is following the spiritual path knows that the earth is changing, which in effect, propels human beings to evolve/change as well. There is no escaping. Those that are resisting the changes because they are not aware of what is going on, their lives will show much turmoil and chaos. When I first started my healing journey, I like most people attended group meetings to learn how to better myself. I was taught in this group that when you said or did something negative, if you realized immediately that this is not the energy you wanted to put out to the Universe, you could say “Cancel, Cancel, Cancel” and the energy of that thought or action would be erased, as quick as snapping your fingers. In the beginning I believed this was a truth and yes I began using it! The fact was when I first started my own healing journey my life was a complete mess, so any trick given that could change my life I was going to implement.

After spending some time within this group I observed this in action with those that used it frequently and wondered how one could put out negative energy and then depend on saying the words cancel, cancel, cancel and expect all to be ok? From everything that I had been studying on my own I was under the impression that if one followed a spiritual path, a life of joy and happiness would soon appear. I would witness people saying cancel all the time! I too would have a thought pop in my head and immediately say cancel! I was only doing what I was taught and believed to be true. The difference with me though, I had to know why my life was not changing to joy and happiness even though I was implementing the grand cancellation policy!? It was making no sense to me, I mean I was using the cancel tool! Then it really hit me. Why was this group of people that I was investing my time and energy with not enjoying the quality of their lives either? This cancel aspect began not sitting well with me so I had to figure out how this could be possible that saying the words cancel stopped the negative flow of energy.

I discovered two things during my research. First off those that were teaching me the cancel policy were only half right. They were teaching from the belief that we are the creators of our life, and yes this is what I still believe. Upon researching I discovered the key part that they didn’t teach, understand or perhaps didn’t know about and that is, there is no such thing as destroying energy. It is impossible. The only thing a person can do is change the energy into a different form. You cannot say cancel, cancel, cancel and expect it to go away! If you sent the energy out, you are responsible for it and it will come back to you. That is after all the law of attraction! With this new understanding I figured out why my life wasn’t changing! I was still sending out the lower vibrational frequencies even though I desired a better life. Now that we are aware of our creating powers, and yes each and everyone one of us is a powerful creator! Therefore the full circle, boomerang effect or what comes around, goes around. Put out any feelings of negativity – and negativity will come right back to you. Put out any feelings of lack, lack comes right back to you. The other side of the coin, change the frequency to a higher vibrational thought or emotion. If you put out the feeling of love – love comes right back to you. If you put out the feeling of abundance, abundance comes right back to you. Do you see how powerful we really are? Our thoughts put together with our emotions create our way of daily living. So start today by changing your thoughts and emotions, to generate the change within your world! We can invoke the Violet Flame to transmute our misqualified thoughts and feelings from the past, and we can empower our efforts with using affirmations to succeed in the life we desire to create. You are the only one that has power over your life. You create your tomorrow by your daily thoughts and emotions that you express today. You are the creator.

I use the Violet Flame when I am doing healing work on myself. I also suggest to my clients that they too invoke the Violet Flame to transmute all they are releasing when they come to me for the Lightarian Programs that I offer. The Violet Flame has qualities of mercy, forgiveness, freedom and transmutation. The Violet Flame has the power to erase, or transmute the cause, the effect, and even the memory of our past mistakes! This IS an incredible tool! The Lightarian Programs are incredible modalities in themselves, helping one to raise their vibration and propel them further along their spiritual path. I have found that by asking my clients to invoke the Violet Flame for themselves when they use the Lightarian programs it makes a significant difference in their healing process.

Using the Lightarian Programs or the Practical Mastery Series as an example, when we consciously choose to implement energetic healing programs in our life to speed up the clearing/releasing/healing process, we are aware and ready to make positive choices during the releasing process. Therefore when I ask my clients to empower themselves and use the Violet Flame, they are ready and prepared to take positive action.

For those of us that are being thrown into the releasing process caused by perceived outside circumstances, we need a tool to help relieve the negative energy/feelings we are releasing/experiencing. I’m going to use anger as our example because at the time of this writing it is prevalent upon the earth.

At any point in our life we always have an abundance of emotions flowing through us. As explained earlier we are magnetic beings. That means that whatever energy/emotion we flow out from our being, we attract back to ourselves. Yes, emotions are energy! So let’s say one day you are mad and you project that anger at your husband, child, co-worker etc. This anger that you have now projected out WILL come back to you; remember “What goes around comes around!” It does not necessarily come back from those that you projected it too. It may come back to you by the guy that cuts you off on the highway! In order to stop the anger boomerang effect, implement this tool. As soon as the feelings of anger start, immediately stop, take a breath and say (in your mind is fine), “I call upon the Violet Flame to transmute the cause, core, effect, record and memory of these anger feelings Now!” Take another breath and within a matter of seconds these feelings of anger will have been transmuted and feel much less powerful than they did only seconds before. Therefore the venom/karma that you could have potentially directed towards another individual has been stopped dead in its track! You took immediate action and empowered yourself by refraining to give into the urge of expressing your anger in a negative way. Congratulations, but you are not done! You need to immediately raise the anger vibration, which is a very dense, heavy energy into a higher vibrational emotion. Redirect your thoughts to something that makes you feel joy! Something that makes you smile from ear to ear. If you do not implement the higher vibrational emotion, you will stay stuck in the lower, denser vibratory frequency. It is important to raise your frequency if you desire to create a positive, joyful existence. Positive thoughts and emotions attract positive experiences!

You can use this technique for every negative emotion that comes into your life. If you are not expressing love, than you are expressing fear. Love based emotions are feelings of joy, happiness, bliss, peace, calm etc. Fear based emotions are the opposite of love which are hate, anger, sadness, confusion, depressed, etc. Whenever a fear based emotion creeps up on you, immediately use the Violet Flame to transmute the energy. Eventually, with work these feelings of fear will come up less and less in your life because you have found a tool to release them positively instead of having to recycle them and learn again by the boomerang! You will also notice after repeated use your life changing for the positive because you are raising your own vibrational energetic frequency! Always remember the law of attraction. What you put out you will attract back.

 I discovered that there is no real healing without a personal connection with a source of spiritual guidance.
Everyone in recovery - whether from alcohol, drugs, food, spending, gambling, sex, TV, codependency, or any other addiction - knows that they cannot heal without a connection with their Higher Power, yet for many, this connection is illusive. It is a common experience for me to work with people who have been in Twelve Steps for years yet still don't have a direct, personal experience of their Higher Power. All of us want a direct line to our spiritual Guidance. We need this help in maintaining abstinence and taking responsibility for ourselves. We want to know what is in our highest good, what is the right decision in different situations, how to set appropriate boundaries, and how to manifest what we want.
It is the birthright of each of us to have a direct line to God, whatever God is for you. Yet few of us have learned how to do this at will on a daily basis. Surprisingly however, it is not hard to do.

The spiritual realm exists at a higher frequency than we do here on the physical plane of Planet Earth. In order to access the spiritual realm, we need to know how to raise our "frequency".

One way to understand "frequency" is to imagine a room filled with people who are sharing love and joy with each other. This room has a feeling of lightness--a high frequency--whereas a room filled with angry, tense people has a feeling of heaviness--a low frequency.

So, how do we raise our frequency? There are numerous things you can do to help yourself raise your frequency, but none of them will work unless you have the intent to learn with Spirit about loving yourself and others.

Our intent is the most powerful tool we have for raising our frequency. There are only two possible intents in any given moment: to learn with God/Spirit about loving yourself and others, or to protect against your pain and avoid responsibility for your feelings. When our intent is to protect and avoid we seek to control - through our various addictions - our feelings, others' feelings and behavior, and the outcome of things. When our intent is to learn, we seek to take responsibility for our own feelings and behavior by discovering what we may be thinking or doing that is unloving to ourselves and others, and what would be loving.

You can try many methods of raising your frequency, from prayer to meditation to chanting, but if your intent is to protect instead of learn, none of these will do any good at all. The reason is that when the intent is to protect against pain, we close our heart so as not to feel whatever we are feeling. God cannot come through a closed heart.

We are each given free will when we come to this planet. This means that we get to choose our intent - to be open or closed, loving or unloving, protected against pain or taking responsibility for our feelings. While the love that is God is all-powerful, it cannot come into a closed heart. Just as the air you breathe cannot come into your lungs until you take a breathe, the love, power and wisdom that is God cannot enter your being until you choose the intent to learn about loving.

When you have a true, pure intent to learn, your frequency automatically raises. None of the actions I suggest below will raise your frequency without this intent. However, once you have this intent, the following actions can help to further raise your frequency.

• Move into your imagination. Your imagination is a gift from God. When you move into your imagination, you raise your frequency and tap into the source of your creativity and inspiration. Our willingness to move into and trust our imagination is essential to being able to connect with our personal spiritual Guidance When you first begin to utilize your imagination to increase your frequency and connect with God, you might feel as if you are just using your imagination to make things up. However, as you take the risk of trusting what you think you are "making up," you will discover that it really is coming through you from God rather than from you.

• Keep your body clear. Your body is an energy system. If your body's energy is clogged with drugs, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, sugar, heavy foods, lots of food or foods contaminated with pesticides, preservatives, artificial sweeteners or any of the thousands of chemicals that are added to foods, your frequency is lowered.

• Pray. Sincere prayers of gratitude and asking God for help in healing all blocks to loving can raise your frequency.

• Chant. Repetitive prayers, chants and mantras can open you to higher frequencies, as can singing in general.

• Dance. Rapid repetitive movement, such as Native American drumming dances, may open you to higher frequencies.

• Spend time in nature. The frequency of a city is far lower than the frequency of nature. Being among trees and flowers, near a river, creek or lake, at the ocean, in the desert, or on a mountain can all raise your frequency.

• Listen to classical or spiritual music.

• Do creative, artistic activities. Moving into your creative imagination raises the frequency.

• Use incense or do "smudging." Incense has been used for centuries to raise the frequency and invite spiritual connection. "Smudging" is using the smoke from various dried plants such as sage, pine, cedar and lavender to clear the energies in a room and raise the frequency. Smudging has been used for thousands of years by indigenous peoples throughout the world.

• Lighting candles. Candlelight, too, has been used for thousands of years to clear the air and raise the frequency.

If you get into the habit of asking yourself throughout the day, "What is my intent? Am I trying to control something, or is my deepest desire in the moment to learn about loving myself and others?", you will begin to understand intent. This will eventually lead you into hearing, feeling, and seeing your personal spiritual Guidance.
